'My kid eats everything': Parents bemoan advice from moms and dads with 'low maintenance' children

You would think it's accepted wisdom at this point: having kids is a difficult thing to do. Before they've even popped out the womb, they take over your life with the intention of never giving it back again. 

However, it has to be acknowledged that some parents have it easier than others. If you're not one of those moms or dads, it's hard not to resent that their bundle of joy was sleeping through the night at a week old, or loves eating fresh vegetables. Not everybody gets so lucky.

This was the subject of a recent Twitter thread, in which a mom complained that parents who had exactly one 'low maintenance' child under the age of two gave the worst parenting advice. Other moms and dads were inclined to agree, with some offering up their least favorite quotes from these so-called advice-givers. They don't know how easy they have it.

The kid was an angel, then he turned 13. A teenager can humble any parent: it ain't over yet

Mine was super low maintenance and I knew how lucky I was and how much it was not my parenting. 14 years later and I have my second and he is most definitely not low maintenance. it's definitely not the parenting.

I've had an easy teenager and I've had a hard teenager. you do not have as much control as you think and people who haven't had a hard teenager literally have no idea what they're talking about
